Last month I had the chance to shoot TBM Avenger Doris Mae during a night run. The Commemorative Air Force Capital Wing — which operates the plane — arranged the photo op while the Arsenal of Democracy was on the field at Culpeper Regional Airport. Big thanks to them for the effort they put into this.
This was my first night run photoshoot, and it didn’t disappoint. The 1,900 horsepower radial engine and massive prop put on quite a show.
In addition to the photos, I set my second camera to record video of the engine run. It’s nothing fancy, but there’s the start up, a few wing sweeps, and the engine run up.
